This morning, Nintendo officially announced The Hero from the Dragon Quest franchise will appear today in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! The second of the game’s five DLC fighters was announced during E3, but will be made available later today.
The news was revealed during a livestream from Masahiro Sakurai. The Hero actually represents four different games in the Dragon Quest franchise: Dragon Quest III, IV, VIII and XI S. As such, The Hero will have four different voice actors, depending on which version is selected. The Hero is accompanied by the Yggdrasil’s Altar stage, based on a location from Dragon Quest XI S. Several orchestrated tracks from the franchise will also be available.
The Hero is available as a separate download, or as part of the game’s Fighter’s Pass. Several Mii Fighter costumes from the Dragon Quest franchise will be available for $.75. Are you planning on playing as the character today? Let us know in the comments below!
