The First Tree, a 3rd-person exploration game from David Wehle, is coming to consoles, including Nintendo Switch. DO Games will be working on porting the game from PC and Mac.
The narrative follows two stories running parallel and concurrently to one another: a fox searches for her missing family, while a son reconnects with his father in Alaska. Their stories will eventually meet as the player finds artifacts from the son’s life and he finds himself part of the fox’s journey toward ‘The First Tree’, with lessons about life and death unfolding throughout.
Don’t expect this to be a huge time commitment — the game is only an hour and a half long and focuses mainly on the story, with some light puzzle solving and platforming involved. It also has a soundtrack which Message to Bears, Lowercase Noises, and Josh Kramer all contributed to.
Players can expect to see The First Tree on consoles by late 2018. Will you be adding this to your Switch library?
