Since its release in September 2017, Cuphead has earned a number of accolades. The game’s latest honor, however, is a bit of an unlikely one! Today, it was announced that the game’s 2xLP vinyl soundtrack from Studio MDHR and iam8bit debuted at number one on the Billboard Jazz charts! What’s more, Cuphead is the very first video game soundtrack to receive such a distinction!

In addition to the Billboard Jazz charts, the soundtrack also debuted at number one on the Traditional Jazz Charts and at number six on the Billboard vinyl charts. This is the second vinyl release for the soundtrack; the original 4xLP vinyl set debuted at number four on the vinyl charts when it initially released. Since that particular vinyl release came in 2017, around the same time as the game itself, it makes sense that more people have gained an interest since!

The Cuphead 2xLP vinyl is available for $40 at iam8bit’s website.
