Okay, this news is a wee bit on the old side, but there was no way I could let it pass. I’m a huge TMNT fan, especially of the classic games from the ’90s, so when I heard that Konami announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection would be bringing every single one of these amazing games to Nintendo Switch… well, my heart nearly stopped. Bask in the glory of this trailer:

Here’s the full list of games included in the collection (which will be offered both digitally and physically):

  1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade)
  2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade)
  3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)
  4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES)
  5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project (NES)
  6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (NES)
  7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (Super Nintendo)
  8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo)
  9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist (Sega Genesis)
  10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Sega Genesis)
  11. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of The Foot Clan (Game Boy)
  12. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From The Sewers (Game Boy)
  13. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (Game Boy)

The compilation will also be presenting Japanese versions of 11 of the included games (the arcade version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the NES iteration of Tournament Fighters were never localized in the region). What’s more, online functionality will be included for TMNT (Arcade), Turtles in Time (Arcade), The Hyperstone Heist, and Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo). Oddly, the SNES version of Turtles in Time is apparently not getting online support, but we’ll let it slide—this is a major win for game preservation and TMNT fans everywhere.

There’s no firm release date for The Cowabunga Collection other than later this year. Are you excited to see all of these classic TMNT games make a return? Tell us down in the comments!
