Pokémon Go developer Niantic shook things up once again with the stealthy reveal of Team Rocket within the beloved game world. Recently, fans were encountering strangely colored PokéStops and doing battle with low-level grunts. These battles yielded Shadow Pokémon to the trainers who battled the baddies, but word of Team Rocket officially entering the fray didn’t come until a little later. Here’s the announcement straight from the Pokémon Go Twitter account:

As the Tweet makes apparent, this is a different flavor of the shifty organization from the anime and games, as they’re dubbed Team Go Rocket this time around. In order to delve deeper into this criminal enterprise, players must engage in Special Missions dubbed A Troubling Situation. There are a number of challenges to partake in for fans; be sure to keep an eye open for those discolored PokéStops in order to partake in the action!
