In addition to Nintendo Switch consoles selling like hotcakes, it seems that the system’s games are also flying off the shelves, as well.
Analyst Mat Piscatella from market research company NPD has stated that sales of physical Switch games in the United States “are on pace to be the biggest ever for a Nintendo platform launch year since ’95, by a fairly large margin.”
In an era of gaming where everyone seems to be consuming more and more digital software, it’s certainly impressive that Nintendo has made as many physical software sales as it has with the Switch.

Unless it’s something that is a play-a-few-minutes-a-day-every-day thing and cartridge switching would be annoying (see: Animal Crossing) or comes with the system (see: Link Between Worlds for me), I ~ALWAYS~ go for the physical medium if physical is an option.
You can’t flip a switch and turn off my ability to play/re-obtain a physical cartridge.
