PlayStation 4 and Vita were the original homes of Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Builders, a title much in the same wheelhouse as Minecraft but with a Dragon Quest veneer. Luckily for Nintendo fans, Builders is coming to Switch! The game has many of the usual enemies and music the Dragon Quest franchise is known for, but there are a number of things that set it apart, as well.
Players are tasked with accumulating a number of different supplies in order to build weapons and other items in order to progress through the story. I jokingly dubbed it “Slimecraft” but in reality, Builders does a very good job of establishing its own identity. The game is slated for a spring 2018 release.
