Fans of Super Mario Bros. games are familiar with just how challenging the mustachioed adventures can get in the latter stages, but imagine taking that difficulty, ramping it up to eleven, and then dedicating an entire game to it. That’s Super Meat Boy in a nutshell. It’s tough as nails and totally unapologetic about it. Which is exactly what fans love about the game.
Super Meat Boy finally made its Nintendo debut on Wii U last year, but thankfully co-creator Edmund McMillon isn’t leaving current-gen Nintendo owners hanging, as the title is now headed to Switch. There’s no word on when the port will drop, but McMillen at least offered the following image on Team Meat’s Twitter page to let players know the game is inbound:
It’s a welcome sight for a console that still doesn’t have all that many platformers in its library. Thankfully, that gap is slowly starting to fill. Super Meat Boy is a true joy, so long as you can take the heat.
Will you be playing this one when it drops? Have you played it before? Tell us in the comments!
