So far, Nintendo Switch has sold a lot of games, with many easily pushing well above and beyond the million milestone. Most successful among these, both in terms of sales and reviews, is Super Mario Odyssey, the latest Mario 3D platformer that marked a return to form for the genre when it released a year ago. Recently, the game achieved a new, more regional milestone.
Super Mario Odyssey has joined Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as only the second Switch title to surpass 500,000 sales in the UK. While these numbers are good for the island nation, it’s but a mere fraction of the game’s global sales which have surpassed 10 million.
Of course, we have now entered the holiday season, which tends to be really good for the evergreen nature of Nintendo’s first party titles, so expect these numbers to keep on rising.
