Gamers finally got their hands on the highly anticipated Super Mario Maker 2 earlier this month and it looks like there were plenty of people looking forward to making their own Mario levels on Switch, at least in the UK. In just the few days it was available, the game managed to take the top spot, kicking Crash Team Racing down to the runner-up position.
Unfortunately, actual sales numbers aren’t available, but it looks like the new release brought some good vibes to the Switch as a whole because other titles for the system saw a boost in performance. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate saw jumps on the list, landing at fifth and tenth respectively. Breath of the Wild just missed the top ten by a mere 27 copies while the Switch release of Bloodstained saw that game get pushed into ninth.
Altogether, it seemed like a pretty impressive week for Nintendo and continues to lend credence to the evergreen nature of their titles.
