In November, North America will get the chance to check out Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!, the latest film in the mega-popular multi-media franchise. This time around, the movie offers a cinematic re-imagining of the start of Ash and Pikachu’s decades long adventure featuring new characters, events, and Pokémon. In celebration of this event, owners of the latest games, Pokémon Sun and Moon will have the opportunity to receive a special version of the most iconic creature in the series.
Starting now, gamers can boot up their game and enter the code PIKACHU20 in the Mystery Gift screen to receive a special Pikachu featuring Ash’s original hat featured both in the new film and the first few seasons of the show. This Pikachu will also come holding the Pikashunium Z-Crystal, granting him access to the powerful Z-Move 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. Unfortunately, each copy of the game will only have access to one special, hat wearing Pikachu, so before you enter this code you’ll want to make sure there aren’t other hats you’d rather see Pikachu wearing.
As for the movie, it will have a limited theatrical run on November 5 and 6.
