Let’s temper expectations just a wee bit before launching into this one: there has been no official announcement that Street Fighter 6 will be coming to Nintendo Switch. The game was just recently revealed following the conclusion of the season final of the Capcom Pro Tour. Now, with that said—there were also no platform announcements for the game whatsoever, so it’s still a possibility that the sixth installment of the venerable fighting series might come to Nintendo’s hybrid console.
With that cheery thought in mind, let’s take a look at the stinger trailer for the game:
Street Fighter 6 comes with a lot of questions in tow. It follows Street Fighter V which began its life on PlayStation 4 under rather rocky circumstances. With an anemic roster and lack of single player modes at launch, SFV was met with some trepidation from fans. Over the years, the roster has ballooned and the gameplay improved, but it’s still a divisive entry among fans. Will Street Fighter 6 be able to hit the ground running and pick up where SFV left off? We’ll know soon enough as Capcom will be revealing more about the game this summer.
Let us know your hopes for SF6, especially whether or not it will come to Switch, down in the comments!
