Dead by Daylight is effectively a multiplayer horror movie simulator as one player assumes the role of a monstrous villain while four others are the bystanders caught in its cross-hairs. Though the game doesn’t release on Switch until next month, there’s already a new expansion coming for soon-to-be players to look forward to, based on one of the hottest brands in sci-fi horror right now: Stranger Things.
This new content features a new level, a new monster, and two new survivors. The latest setting is Hawkins National Laboratory, the secretive government facility that started the whole mess by tearing open a portal to the Upside Down. And, of course, through that hole came the Demogorgon, the inter-dimensional monster players will get the chance to control. The show has plenty of characters the developers could have chosen from for potential survivors, but the two they went with are Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler. We can only hope Steve will have access to his iconic nail-studded baseball bat.
This new content is set to release sometime in September, which means it might be ready to play by the time Dead by Daylight launches on Switch on September 24. If not, then it shouldn’t be a long wait.
