The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed that 5pb is bringing Steins;Gate Elite to Switch next year alongside the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game.
Steins;Gate Elite is an updated version of the visual novel game Steins;Gate, which was released back in 2009 on almost all non-Nintendo platforms. The original game was the second in the Science Adventure series and went on to spawn its own anime series.
Steins;Gate Elite is described as a “full animation adventure game” and includes all of the animation from the 24-episode anime. It is apparently completely different to the series’ traditional style and will include new routes for players to take which weren’t featured in the anime, with production handled by the same animation studio that produced the anime.
Steins;Gate Elite will be available on PS4, PS Vita and Switch in Spring 2018.
