The recent trend of independent games getting special, physical releases continues with one of the biggest indie hits in recent years, Stardew Valley. While this isn’t a surprise by itself, the fact that, so far, it has only been revealed in Japan, kind of is.

The beloved farming sim will see a special collector’s edition released in the country on January 31 next year. The package will include the game, a soundtrack CD, a village map, and a guide book. If you’re interested, you’ll want to set aside 3,500 yen.

Seeing how printing hard copies of indie games is all the rage nowadays, it would seem to make sense that Stardew Valley, and maybe this particular package, might get a release in other markets, but we’ll have to wait and see when, and if, it’s ever announced.
