Genre mash-ups are always interesting to see, but it’s not too often you see fighting and puzzle games come together as in the recently announced StarBlox Inc. Developed in a partnership between Seed Interactive and Canada’s Museum of Science and Innovation, the game draws inspiration from the likes of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. StarBlox Inc. is about brawling while managing a block-based puzzle game.
In the game, you take on the role of an employee for an interstellar transportation company, however it’s a rather cutthroat business as you must literally battle your competitors for cargo as you try to fill your rocket and blast off before they do. Of course, the fact that stages have a variety of obstacles, like black holes and lava flows, doesn’t help make the job any easier. The game will be playable for up to four or you can play solo in the career mode.
StarBlox Inc. will be available for download October 18 and will sell for $9.99, however it is currently on sale for $7.49 for those willing to pre-purchase.
