There are few composers in gaming with as much notoriety as David Wise. The former Rare composer played a pivotal role in the success of the Donkey Kong Country franchise in the ’90s, and it looks like he’ll have just as strong an impact on Yooka-Laylee when that title debuts later this year. While that game is still a ways off, fans of the composer might want to check out Star Ghost, a title making its debut quite a bit sooner!
Star Ghost is a vertical space shooter from developer Squarehead Studios. Outside of an atmospheric soundtrack from Wise, the title will also feature 12 star systems for players to explore and a control scheme the developer describes as “unique.” We’ve embedded the game’s trailer below!
Star Ghost is set to debut exclusively on the Nintendo eShop on March 10. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information on the game as it develops!
