It doesn’t have to be a snowman…

The latest in Splatoon’s series of Splatfest competitions is scheduled for this weekend both in North America and Europe. As is usually the case, the topic up for debate will vary based on region.

This time around, Splatoon fans in North America will have to choose whether they would prefer to build a snowman or a sandcastle. The competition will likely make for an interesting choice. Will players actually vote for the creation they would prefer to build, or will they pick based on their preferred climate? Of course, plenty of Splatoon players choose based on their preference for Callie or Marie, so we could very well see that happen, as well!

Gamers across the pond will have a Splatfest competition that focuses on futuristic methods of travel. Jetpacks and hoverboards have long been a staple of science fiction, and this week Splatoon players will have to choose which one they’d rather own! We should remind potential voters that these are the Marty McFly-style hoverboards, not the annoying kind that too often can be found at the mall!

North America’s Splatfest competition is scheduled to begin March 18 at 9 PM PT and run for 24 hours. Europe’s Splatfest will begin at 19:00 CET on March 19. Let us know which side you’ll be joining in the comments below!
