The surprise international success of Splatoon may have delayed the release of a lot of merchandise for the Wii U title, but it looks like Nintendo clearly learned a lesson. In 2017, fans can expect a new game in the series in addition to Amiibo, World of Nintendo figures, an art book and now a manga from Viz Media!
Originally published in CoroCoro, Sankichi Hinodeya’s adaptation currently has two collected volumes available for purchase in Japan. The series is expected to release in North America later this year, and will join other Viz published Nintendo manga, such as The Legend of Zelda.
With the July 21 release date of Splatoon 2 quickly approaching, kids and squids alike will certainly find a lot to keep themselves fresh in 2017. Do you plan on checking out the upcoming Splatoon manga? Let us know in the comments below!
