The Pokémon Trading Card Game, or Pokémon TCG as it’s more commonly referred to as, is already 24 years old (26 years in Japan). The gameplay itself has withstood the test of time, with regular tournaments and new cards as ubiquitous as ever (if not more so, frankly). One aspect of the TCG that many a fan delights in is the beautiful art that adorns each card. All sorts of different styles have been featured, and there are many standouts from across the years. Now, the Pokémon Company International is celebrating this art with a new online exhibition.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game: Online Illustration Exhibition is now live and free for anyone to view. Simply head to this link and you can check out all the different features. Here’s what is available on the site according to the official press release:

This online exhibition will be available in 10 languages, and visitors will be able to appreciate close-ups of the beautiful artwork of hundreds of Pokémon TCG cards from three categories:

  • “Life” focuses on the lives of Pokémon and shows them in a variety of different habitats.
  • “History” looks back at over 26 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game from 1996, when the very first set launched in Japan, until present day.
  • “Artist” showcases illustrations from several specific Pokémon TCG artists, each with a unique artistic style.

It’s an incredibly cool celebration that we hope everyone will take the opportunity to view. It’s available until October 22.
