The Ultimate Life Form is about to get a little more ultimate. Announced today during the PlayStation State of Play broadcast, Keanu Reeves, who is set to star as Shadow the Hedgehog in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, is also going to be playing the character in Sonic X Shadow Generations. The catch is that in order to play as the movie version of Shadow, players will have to download the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack DLC. They’ll get a movie skin, Keanu’s voice, and a special stage inspired by the film.
The Movie Pack DLC comes as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition of Sonic X Shadow Generations, which has an MSRP of $59.99. It’s unclear if the DLC pack is limited to the Digital Deluxe Edition or if it will be a standalone purchase, as well as whether or not the Shadow skin and Keanu’s voice extend beyond this special stage or not. We’ve reached out for clarification and will update if we learn more.
