From day one, plenty of games have found success on Switch, both in terms of releases from major publishers and smaller projects from independent developers. One area of success that might have surprised some, is how many classic arcade games have found their way to the hybrid console. While many of these titles have their roots in Neo Geo’s substantial arcade library, other games from that era are showing up as well.
Two arcade shoot ’em ups, Vasara and Vasara 2, have been announced for release in the form of Vasara HD Collection from QUByte Interactive. The games take place in 1600s Japan and features three playable characters battling in a more technologically advanced take on history. The more period-accurate version probably wouldn’t have been quite as effective as a bullet hell game!
Unfortunately, if these sorts of games get you excited, you still have quite a while to wait. Vasara HD Collection is currently slated to release sometime in early 2019.
