Elden Pixels’ Alwa’s Awakening is going to have two versions when it’s released: a physical copy and a as a part of Retro-Bit’s new “Digical” imprint. Alwa’s Awakening: 8-Bit Edition is being released with new features, such as three new regions to explore, and also has a few brand new songs coming to its soundtrack. This NES game will be available for purchase for $59.99

What is more interesting for Alwa’s Awakening’s release is the ‘Digical’ version for $19.99. Some of you may be wondering, “what is Digical?” Digical is a combination of both DIGItal and physiCAL release (DIGI-CAL). This new unique method developed by Retro-Bit is going to include the game’s ROM and exclusive digital content released in a character-themed USB stick. Each “Digical” releases will come with a display case for the games to stand out and to be shown off in a person’s collection.
