Octopath Traveler is an RPG made by Square Enix that launched on Nintendo Switch to quite a bit of acclaim back in 2018. Since then it has been a mainstay on the eShop… until now, that is. It seems that the game has been delisted, leaving some fans scratching their heads wondering why. It turns out that there’s nothing sinister afoot, but rather some kind of error or oversight has occurred, instead.

Square Enix acknowledged the delisting via its X account today, stating that Octopath Traveler is only “temporarily unavailable” and that it will update when the game is back in the eShop and available for purchase once more. No reason as to why it was delisted in the first place, but if you’ve been wanting to play and were recently planning to make a purchase, take heart, as you’ll eventually be able to do so again before long.
