Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is the delightful remaster of the 2012 action/slasher game from Suda51 and James Gunn that came to Nintendo Switch last September. The folks at Dragami Games have been plugging away at RePOP adding things like new costumes and making gameplay tweaks ever since launch, and it looks like they’re still not quite done. As revealed on X by Yoshimi Yasuda, who’s been guiding RePOP all this time, says that a new Nightmare Mode will come to the game in an update this April:
“Nightmare Mode”, which will be added as a major remake element, is scheduled to appear in the April update.
We will start introducing the new mode next week, so please stay tuned.大型リメイク要素として追加実装予定のナイトメアモードは4月にアップデートで登場します!… pic.twitter.com/xwAObe0xvs

While RePOP isn’t a perfect game by any stretch, it is very fun. It’s also notable for bucking the trend in recent years of toning its content down to suit online activists and activist journalists, instead providing fans with a faithful recreation of the original game. If you’re interested, RePOP is available now in the Nintendo Switch eShop.
