Silksong is in Such High Demand it Was Crashing the eShop at Launch

Hollow Knight: Silksong is finally out in the wild, but as one might expect, after so many years of anticipation, it was inevitable that the demand for the game might bring with it some… adverse side effects. In this case, Silksong was so sought after at launch that the game caused multiple different video game marketplaces to crash—including the Nintendo Switch eShop! The new was reported on across various gaming news outlets and was remarked upon all over social media.

A quick check reveals that, at the time of this writing, things have settled down, but earlier in the day it was a pretty hairy situation for all involved. Thankfully, fans should be able to log on and get the game without fuss, but if that changes we’ll be sure to let you all know.
