In the fall of 2018, The Pokémon Company revealed Meltan, a legendary Pokémon that could only be acquired by playing both Pokémon Go and Pokémon: Let’s Go. Getting the little guy wasn’t all that difficult, but getting its evolved form, Melmetal, was quite the task. Now trainers have another difficult Pokémon to acquire: Shiny Meltan!
Starting today, a shiny version of the Pokémon will potentially appear in the wild when Go players open the Mystery Box on their mobile devices. In order to give players a better chance at finding Meltan, the length of time players must wait before opening be Mystery Box again has been reduced from seven days to just three. That will give players plenty of chances to acquire the little legendary! Naturally, Shiny Meltan can be evolved into a Shiny Melmetal, or transferred to either Pokémon: Let’s Go title on Switch.
