ININ is bringing another reworked classic to Nintendo Switch this summer. After the delightful remaster of The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors launched to acclaim back in October of 2019, it is with great anticipation that fans look forward to Shadow of the Ninja: Reborn. Like Ninja Saviors, Shadow of the Ninja: Reborn is taking the base game and revamping it from the ground up. For this version, however, Tengo Project is redoing all of the original sprites with new pixel art. Give it a look in this comparison trailer that just dropped, displaying the difference between the NES original and Reborn:
The signature action platformer co-op of the NES Shadow of the Ninja is back for Reborn, with players able to choose between the ninjas Hayate and Kaede. As the trailer so handily demonstrates, the visuals in Reborn are now more in a 16-bit style, which ININ loves to work in. The game will release digitally, but physical editions are also on the way. Super Limited Games is handling production duties and will be selling two versions: the Limited Edition and the Collector’s Edition.
