Following a leak earlier this week, SEGA has now announced Team Sonic Racing, the latest entry in its kart racing series.
Developed by Sumo Digital, who was behind 2012’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, the game sees players join together in teams, with races supporting up to 12 players. Online and local co-operative modes are included, alongside Grand Prix, Exhibition mode, Time-Trial and “Team Adventure” modes.
According to the game’s Steam description, it is possible to win races by not only finishing first, but also by demolishing the other teams with the use of collectible items.
Team Sonic Racing will be available later this year and you can expect to hear more about in a couple of weeks at E3.
