While Switch is held in much higher regard than its predecessor, many fans still lament the fact that, one year into its lifespan, Switch still has no Virtual Console. That has not stopped companies like Hamster from bringing classic titles to the handheld hybrid, and now it appears that Sega and M2 will follow suit by bringing a number of Sega games to the platform.
Announced during Sega Fes in Japan, the Sega Ages initiative will bring over 15 titles to Switch. Thus far, only three have been announced: Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star and Thunder Force IV.
The titles are expected to begin arriving this summer. We’ll have more information on the Sega Ages initiative as it develops!
