Castlevania on Netflix has been an absolute pleasure of a surprise since its launch in 2017. Penned by Warren Ellis, whose comic book writing credits include lauded runs on Planetary and The Authority, the series followed the exploits of Trevor Belmont, Alucard and Sypha Belnades as they fought to defeat Dracula. With (spoiler alert!) Dracula defeated at the end of the second season, it left fans curious where Castlevania would go in season 3. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect (note that Castlevania is for mature audiences):
The fight against the forces of darkness shows no signs of relenting. Neither does the stellar animation, which appears to have been taken up a notch this time around. There are also hints of some series enemies like Legion in the trailer, as well. Castlevania season 3 will debut on March 5 on Netflix.
