13AM Games has revealed that its colorful, nine-player, competitive platforming racing game Runbow will be arriving in North America on August 27. But what’s more exciting is the announcement that the game will feature even more characters from other big name indie titles.
Alongside the already announced characters, Runbow will feature the following: Unity Chan (the Unity engine’s ubiquitously moe mascot in Japan), the eponymous Xeodrifter, Princess from Chariot, Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Clone from Stealth Inc., Max from Mutant Mudds, Arid from The Fall, Drifter from the upcoming Hyper Light Drifter, and Teslamancer from Teslagrad. Indie characters crossing over into each others’ games isn’t anything new, but Runbow seems like it doesn’t want to leave anyone out. Be sure to check out the video below to see all of these characters in action.
Runbow will sell for $14.99 on the Wii U eShop; however, those who downloaded the demo during the Nindies@home E3 promotion will be entitled to a 15 percent discount. Unfortunately, a release date has yet to be revealed for gamers outside North America, so stay on the lookout for that.
