Conduit 2 Delayed Again
The sequel to the game that effectively defined first person gunplay has been given another little push back. The game’s publisher, Sega, said the delay will allow High Voltage Software “to continue to balance and enhance the game’s multiplayer.”
Wii gamers will now be able to get their hands on this better balanced and enhanced game on April 19.

Nintendo Announces Drop in Quarterly Sales and Revises Forecast
Nintendo revealed a sharp decrease in sales from last year for the holiday season. Overall sales were down 31.7% while operating income was down 46.5%. Overall console sales were down significantly, yet software sales were strong thanks to the Japanese release of Pokémon Black/White and the global launch of titles like Mario Galaxy 2 and Donkey Kong Country Returns. However, nothing came close to matching last year’s runaway hit, New Super Mario Bros. for Wii. The strong Yen in comparison to other world currencies also hurt the company’s overall profits.
As a result of these drops, Nintendo has lowered their expectations for console sales for the final quarter of this fiscal year, or at least it has for Wii and DS. 3DS will launch by the end of this quarter and Nintendo is sticking strong to its prediction of four million units sold worldwide.

Pokémon Black and White to have Internet Connectivity
Nintendo has unveiled plans for the Pokémon Global Link web site, a new place for gamers to interact with their Pokémon, track their battling stats, and interact with other trainers.
The Global Battle Union is one part of the site and will track player battle rankings around the world, allowing gamers to see where they stand in comparison to other players. Rankings are also planned to be used as a way of finding the best players and directly inviting them to tournaments.
Another facet of the new site will be Pokémon Dream World, a feature that allows you to go all Inception on your creatures; only instead of planting the seeds for the collapse of a multinational energy conglomerate you will play minigames, make friends, and collect items that can be brought back to the game cartridge.
Expect more information as we approach the March 6 release of Pokemon Black and White.
