Atlus announces US release for Radiant Historia
Atlus revealed their latest Nintendo DS RPG, Radiant Historia, a while back, but they have just now confirmed a North American release of February, 2011. The game revolves around a group of time travelers trying to correct the wrongs throughout history in order to save their war torn world and features a mix of 3D environments and hand drawn character sprites. And in keeping with current gaming trends, player choice at critical points in the story will affect its outcome.
Also, seeing how Atlus makes a point of rewarding its die hard fans, the first batch of the game will come with the game’s soundtrack on CD.

3DS development could prove much costlier
According to Marvelous Entertainment, they are preparing to spend significantly more when it comes time to develop games for Nitnendo’s upcoming handheld. For most Japanese developers, average development costs range between about 4.4 million and 43.9 million yen (or $53,000 to $527,000 USD), a broad range with room for small titles and big name blockbusters alike.
For 3DS, Marvelous is prepared to drop a minimum of 50 million yen ($600,000) and are willing to spend three times that for the bigger titles. While this is still a far cry from the biggest, costliest games for Xbox360 and PS3, it puts 3DS development right up there with bigger Wii games and closer to the average for the aforementioned HD consoles.
Regardless of these costs, Marvelous is apparently undettered, because they have also confirmed that they are working on a new zoo game entitles Animal Resort and a 3D entry in the popular Harvest Moon franchise.

Regions, starters, and legendaries, oh my!
North America doesn’t know exactly when we will be playing Pokémon Black and White, but now we at least we now know where we will be exploring and a few of the creatures we will be battling.
The setting is the Unova region, which looks to contain all the ubiquitous areas to traverse: mountains, forests, desserts, islands, and even what appears to be a pokéball shaped park. The names of your potential first companions have also been revealed, as have the color specific legendaries. The leaf-tailed gecko is Snivy, the pig looking thing is Tepig the fire-type, and the otter inspired creature is Oshawott, the water-type. The large winged legendaries are Zekrom and Reshiram. Zekrom is the black one and is a Dragon/Electric-type while the white one is Reshiram who is a Dragon/Fire-type.
Be sure to stay tuned as more information is revealed as we grow nearer to the eventual release sometime next spring.
