This Week in Downloadable Games
There’s actually a game being released on Virtual Console this week! Fatal Fury 3: Road to Final Victory, a NeoGeo beat ’em up, was released in 1995. The sequel to cult hit Shantae will finally be released on DSiWare today, along with an edition of classic tile-based game Rummikub. WiiWare looks to be pandering to your little brother today, with Racer’s Island – Crazy Racers, and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 3, the latter of which carries the rare Early Childhood (EC) ESRB rating. So, overall, it’s not the best week for the Shop Channel, but Shantae surely makes up for that. As always, here’s the short list of this week’s releases.

WiiWare
- Racers’ Islands – Crazy Racers (1000 points)
- Learning with the Pooyoos: Episode 3 (500 points)

Goldeneye‘s New Multiplayer Mode with Trailer
A new online multiplayer mode has been revealed for much anticipated remake Goldeneye 007. It’s called “Classic Conflict,” and it pits 8 players against one another as one of 8 legendary Bond characters – Jaws, Baron Samedi, Dr. No, Scaramanga, Red Grant, Rosa Klebb, Blofeld, and of course, the infamous Oddjob. When you are killed, you respawn as another one of the 8 characters. At any given time, all players could be playing as all eight different characters. If you purchase the Golden Controller Bundle (which you should), you can play this shiny game mode right out of the box. If you settle for the regular edition, you’ll also have to settle with not playing this mode until you reach level 35 in the online multiplayer mode. Also, Activision released another trailer showcasing the game’s maps.
