Romancing SaGa 2 is releasing worldwide on December 15 for Nintendo Switch, Square Enix has announced. The PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC versions also launch on the same day.
This enhanced version of the 1993 title features updated graphics and audio, new character classes, an additional dungeon not present in the original game, and a New Game+ mode. New Game+ carries character attributes and items into a new game, giving players the ability to obtain items that weren’t collected in their first playthrough and to save previously sacrificed land and companions.
Romancing SaGa 2 sends players on a journey through the Varennes Empire to fight against the Seven Heroes. The series is known for its free scenario system, which allows the player to take command of multiple protagonists and experience the game’s story through the viewpoints of many, rather than just one.
