Rocket League has proven to be one of gaming’s most pleasant surprises in recent years. The game’s simple premise of playing soccer with rocket powered cars was enough to grab people’s attention, and the high-flying physics made it even more fun than people probably expected. Last month, the game made its way to Switch, giving fans their first opportunity to take the game on the go, and it has consistently ranked among the top selling titles on the eShop.
Given Rocket League’s success on Switch, plenty of gamers were obviously happy to pay up the $19.99 asking price, but now those who were on the fence, or maybe just a little more patient, have the chance to save 25 percent. Right now, the game is on sale for $14.99 on the eShop, something that should undoubtedly help boost its already impressive commercial success.
Seeing how Christmas and New Year’s Eve are right around the corner, this sale should help make a lot of holiday get-togethers a lot more entertaining.
