There are release dates and then there are release dates. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is an example of the latter. The game is coming as a physical edition, which many fans have been clamoring for, but alongside the beefy cartridge heading to retailers, there’s a ton of DLC and the long-awaited Amiibo to look forward to. Coming April 9, 2019, here’s everything that will drop on that date:
Do you own Shovel Knight on Switch? 3DS? Wii U? All versions will receive King of Cards, the largest Shovel Knight adventure yet!
Switch/Wii U will also receive Shovel Knight Showdown, an all-new multiplayer battle game!

- Shovel Knight: King of Cards DLC Expansion
- Shovel Knight Showdown DLC Expansion
- Shovel Knight Amiibo Triple-Pack (Specter Knight, Plague Knight, and King Knight)
- Shovel Knight Treasure Trove: A physical edition of the game for Nintendo Switch that will contain all DLC.
Note that if you opt for the physical version of the game, it will retail for $39.99. If the game is bought digitally, the price remains at $24.99. Just so everyone is clear, Treasure Trove includes the two DLC packs listed above, along with Shovel of Hope (base campaign), Plague of Shadows, and Specter of Torment. Also, all versions of the game on Nintendo platforms (meaning Wii U and 3DS) will be getting these last two updates.
