New Pokémon Snap is set for launch on Friday, April 30. The sequel to the beloved Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap, this fresh entry in the series has been almost 22 years in the making.

Fans who have read the book Ask Iwata might have been delighted to learn that the original Pokémon Snap was the brainchild of designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Satoru Iwata; at its inception, the game wasn’t even about snapping pics of Pokémon!
