While Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was a surprisingly decent fighting game it released without any real story mode, despite there being more than 20 TV series and a range of comic books to draw on. That has now changed thanks to the latest update.
The free update offers a brand new story campaign which draws on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Shattered Grid comic series and is written by Kyle Higgins, with art by Dan Mora (both of whom worked on the comic). You can catch a glimpse of the story in the new trailer below:
As you can see from the trailer, it features voice acting and has some big names from the TV series reprising their roles: Jason David Frank is Tommy Oliver, Austin St. John is Jason Lee Scott, Meghan Camarena is Kimberly Ann Hart, David J. Fielding is Zordon, and Kerrigan Mahan is Goldar.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was released on Switch back in March, and the story campaign can be played now as part of the new update.
