A leaked trailer has revealed that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, a new Power Rangers fighting game, is coming to Nintendo Switch in April 2019.
nWay, Lionsgate Films, and Hasbro are all involved in development, and Jason David Frank, the actor who originally portrayed the Green Ranger in the show, even makes a brief appearance in the trailer.
Many people originally noted that the game looks similar to nWay’s mobile title, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, however, nWay has since stated that the game is being built from the ground up, has different move-sets for each character and new battle mechanics. Interestingly, pro fighting game player Justin Wong has also announced that he’s helping the developer balance the fighters.
The standard edition of the game will be $19.99 while a digital collector’s edition will be $39.99. It will include a season one pass with three characters and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger and Lord Drakkon V2 skins. Players that preorder the game now will also receive a Green Ranger V2 skin as a bonus.
