Pokémon Presents: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC Announced for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Fans have been wondering when (was there anyone really wondering “if?”) Pokémon Scarlet & Violet would be getting any additional content, and during the last Pokémon Presents broadcast they finally got their answer: this fall! Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC is a two-part affair that will greatly expand the game’s world and story. Here’s the trailer:

Let’s break down each part:

1. Part 1: The Teal Mask sees students head off on a special trip to the island of Kitakami. There’s a community that rests at the base of a great mountain where a special festival is taking place. Fans will have to work to unravel the mystery of the folktales that the locals speak of. There are three new Pokémon that will be appearing in this expansion: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. The trio are believed to be saviors of Kitakami in the past. This part of the DLC launches in fall 2023.
2. Part 2: The Indigo Disk sees players heading off to Blueberry Academy as an exchange student. It will be coming in winter 2023.

 

Hisuian Zoroark

Between both parts of the expansion an additional 230 Pokémon will be added to Scarlet & Violet’s Pokédex. Those who get in on the ground-floor now and pre-order the DLC before October 31, 2023 can get access to a special Hisuian Zoroark. It knows the move Happy Hour, which it can’t learn through normal gameplay, along with Tera Blast, Bitter Malice, and Nasty Plot.​ It has the Charismatic Mark, with Dark as its Tera Type. A code will be sent out to get this Hisuian Zoroark and must be redeemed before February 29, 2024.
