The next evolution (pardon the pun) of the Pokémon anime is experiencing a slight delay. Pokémon Horizons, which will be streaming on Netflix, was supposed to launch on February 23, 2024. Alas, that date will come and go with no new Pocket Monsters anime, as the release has been pushed to March 7, 2024.

No reason was given for the delay. Although it’s not much of a shift on the calendar, it’s surely a disappointment to fans who have been waiting to see the series pivot in a new direction following the departure of longtime lead Ash Ketchum and his beloved Pikachu. Hopefully the setback will be worth it.
