There’s profit and then there’s profit. Pokémon Go has had a lot of the latter going on ever since its launch back in 2016. The mobile title might be divisive amongst Pocket Monsters fans, but there’s no denying that it’s an immensely popular game. So much so that in September alone, it was able to rake in $85 million in revenue!
What’s even more remarkable is how that number represents an 89 percent increase compared to the same span of time last year. Pokémon Go‘s continued success landed it as the fourth highest-grossing app in terms of revenue. What’s more, an additional 8.86 million people downloaded the app in September, as well. It’s insane how well Pokémon Go continues to do nearly three years after its launch.
