The last fans heard of Philip Summers’ endeavors in the world of video games was the unfortunate news that an IP holder had concerns about the use of a game property in one of his highly popular Hand-Drawn Game Guides. This caused Summers to err on the side of caution and end the endeavor entirely. Well, Summers is finally back doing what he does best with a new project: Hand-Drawn Gaming, a bi-monthly newsletter that he is seeking funding for via Patreon.

Here’s a peek at the first issue:

The eight-page per issue production features fully hand-drawn, well, everything! Tips, strategies, and much more await for those who make a pledge over at Patreon. Summers’ art is great fun and should be a perfect mix with the sort of old school game magazine vibe he seems to be shooting for. Summer’s original goal was to get 500 subscribers, which he has, but there’s always room for more folks if they’re interested.

The first issue of Hand-Drawn Gaming is anticipated to land some time in October, so if you’re wanting to support Summers’ work, do hit up this link.
