When the original Splatoon debuted on Wii U, Callie and Marie quickly gained a cult following among players. Though the pair played a different role in the Switch sequel, their “replacements,” Pearl and Marina, quickly proved nearly as popular. It should come as little surprise then that the new Inkopolis News hosts will also get their own pair of Amiibo, just as Callie and Marie did!
Similar to their predecessors, Pearl and Marina will also be sold in a two-pack for $24.99. At this time, it’s unknown what the Amiibo duo will unlock in Splatoon 2, and a release date has yet to be announced. We’ll have more information as it develops!
