Luigi’s Mansion 3 is just a bit over a month away from its October 31 launch date, but Nintendo is nonetheless already touting the future plans it has for the game. The company is prepping the upcoming title for some good old fashioned downloadable content. Although it might not quite be the DLC some fans would be hoping for.
According to the official Luigi’s Mansion 3 website, here’s what fans can expect from the upcoming expansion:
“Paid DLC will come to Luigi’s Mansion 3 in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes.”
That’s right, dear readers— the DLC is for the game’s multiplayer modes! Which is pretty interesting given that most of the hype for Luigi’s Mansion 3 is hovering like a Boo around the title’s single-player component much more than its multiplayer. There’s also word from Nintendo that those who opt to buy the game digitally (and who have a My Nintendo account) can get double Gold Points if they give it a preorder. Remember, those points are worthwhile as they directly reduce the cost of eShop games!
Does this make you hopeful that Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be as fun with friends as it will be alone? Share with us in the comments and on social media!
