Earlier this year, Bandai Namco released the excellent Namco Museum on Switch, a compilation containing a number of the publisher’s classic arcade offerings. Naturally, the original Pac-Man was one of the titles offered in the collection, but fans looking for something a little more recent starring Namco’s mascot will have Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus to look forward to when it releases on Switch early next year!
An update to the title released last year on PS4 and Xbox One, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus will include a brand-new co-op mode, which can be played with a single pair of Joy-Con controllers. We’ve embedded the Switch version’s trailer below!
Bandai Namco’s support for Switch has been a bit light, so far. While Namco Museum and Dragonball Xenoverse 2 were both well-received upon release, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is yet another update to a game that came out well over a year ago. Hopefully the success of the Switch platform will encourage publishers like Bandai Namco to start offering more recent releases on Nintendo’s handheld hybrid.
