Minecraft: Story Mode – Episode One: The Order of the Stone (Telltale Games, $4.99 for one episode or $19.99 for all five episodes when available) – A relatively rare example of an episodic release on the eShop, with the option to buy one episode or commit to all five (due in the ‘coming weeks) for a bulk discount. This takes the famous sandbox game and translates its world into a structured story, with the Wii U version featuring off-TV play and touch screen controls. We’ll build up to a review soon.
SKEASY (RCMADIAX, $1.49) – The caps lock-loving eShop developer returns with another score chasing game, which appears to once again place the focus on quickfire arcade fun. This time around you’re trying to get a triangle as far down a snowy slope as possible before hitting the trees; we’ll see whether this is an enjoyable diversion or whether it leaves us cold in a review.
