It’s been a rough time for Mortal Kombat 1 on Nintendo Switch. Although the game plays well enough on the hybrid console, its visuals and load times, especially, have left much to be desired, especially in comparison to the versions of the game on Microsoft and Sony’s systems. Now, developer Netherrealm Studios has put out a patch to help MK1 on Switch start inching, ever so slightly, towards parity with its counterparts on Xbox and PlayStation.

Here are the patch notes for the update:

General

  • Season 1 of Invasions
  • Gameplay balance changes
  • Leaderboard fixes
  • Visual improvements and general bug fixes
  • Performance improvements
  • Loading time improvements
  • Stability fixes
  • Localization fixes

Whether or not this will be enough to satisfy players is the real question. Fans have been chirping online about a very broken, nearly unplayable build since launch. While it’s unfortunate that MK1 was released in such a state of disarray to Switch owners, it’s nice that Netherrealms is still trying to get it right after the fact. Let us know what you think of the update in the comments and online!
